Losing Limbs

***Premiered by Stephen Klunk (April 15, 2012).  Electronics available upon request.
Picture
He uses his incisors
to amputate his left arm
before bottling his blood
to gargle it later on.

Left arm in right hand
held over his head
although beginning to rot
a clenched fist it maintains.

***

Brought down to the drum
with momentum of two arms.

The crack rang through.

The battle commenced.

The bottle cracked.

The blood spilled.

Oh, the sacrifice he made
to double his sound
was grave.
